Big Bird Watch!

Can you help keep the birds fed this winter?

Schools all across the UK are participating in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch. As the weather is so cold at the moment and the birds will be struggling to find food, we would like to join in. Therefore, we need your help!

Over the next week we would like you to create some food for the birds at home (there are lots of recipes online) so that we can encourage them to visit our school! In school the children will be able to decide where to place their birdfeeders and each class will be able to go outdoors to see how many birds they can identify. They will then update our school results and send them on to the RSPB to show how birds are managing during winter across the UK.

If you would like to participate, please send in a bird feeder, attached to string with your name, on to Mrs Chapman. You can be as creative as you like. We would be very grateful for as many children to participate as possible – the more food we have, the more birds we can see (hopefully!) Mrs Chapman would also love to see photographs of the bird feeders being made and would be grateful if you could email them to the school office or send any in to school.
