This week we are taking part in the RSPB's Big school's Garden Birdwatch. In preparation for this we have been talking about garden birds and what they need to survive. We decided that birds needed lots of food to give them energy and that in the winter there isn't much food  for them to eat. We made bird cakes  out of bird seeds, suet pellets and lard and filled some recycled coconut shells that Mrs Slevin kindly donated to us. 

Hopefully we will see lots of birds when we do our birdwatch later on this week!
