British Values Day

The Rule of Law

The children had great fun on Friday 27th May solving the mystery of the stolen trophy!

On Thursday morning we had a fantastic visit from the police who told us all about their role within our local community and the rule of the law. Later that day, they returned to tell us about a trophy which had been stolen from our school hall!

On Friday we all had to investigate the scene of the crime and look for clues, which would lead us to the missing trophy. Throughout the day we had to analyse the evidence and decide which member of staff had stolen the trophy, whilst justifying our reasons why.

In the afternoon we opened our own court case and re-enacted a courtroom. The children questioned the members of staff that they felt were the main suspects…We were all shocked to find that Mrs Brennan had the trophy the whole time!
